The Bible teaches that there is peace for Christ’s followers amidst the storms of life. It is an antithetical Christian teaching at the surface. The wisdom of this world suggests the idea of a predictable peace right after the tempest. Hence, the cliche: “peace after the storm” or “darkest hour before the dawn.” But what divine teaching is it that there is peace and comfort while one is in the limbo of trials and sufferings?

Weakening Moral Values

The weakening of moral values signals society’s compulsory return to the basic Orthodox Christian teachings or there could be no “healing of our land.” President Donald Trump viewed the problems of the Americans as solvable only through draining the swamp (as Social Media describe it) that was reasonably devised by the Liberals and the open border politicians. Trump, whose parents were Presbyterians, talked a lot about his concern for the Jewish people and one reason could perhaps be traced by his “Jewish grasp” (Bible knowledge aside) since Ivanka, his daughter, was married to a Jew (real estate developer Jared Kushner). Anyhow, Trump is a more Bible-quoting president than Obama who was one compelling leader of the Americans’ weakening moral values.

Martin Luther (where the Lutheran church got its name), for example, has this piece of advice: “Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave.” To keep your husband’s love is not difficult at all if you are the typical Bible-described wife. God said that the woman must obey her husband.
