God Watches Like Father to His Son

The following poetical snippet was originally written on my Tumblr page. It is plain and has no hidden meanings from the viewpoint of the universal Christian experience. Jesus Christ is giving the same faith experience to His followers. With His indwelling Spirit in the heart, the believers in the US, in the Philippines, or in Japan (anywhere in the globe) have the same stories about how real Jesus Christ is in their lives. “As God Watches Like a Father to His Son” is just a reflection on how Christ cares for His genuine followers, the born-of-God Christians.

As God Watches Like a Father to His Son

High above the skies I bring this hope my heart embraces
Of joy forever engulfing—like one alive beyond—
walking, wand’ring, playing in heaven’s sand
as God watches like father to his son—
my soul laughing, enjoying many angels’ caresses!

Hope in God’s love and mercy, how powerful a feeling—
Of joy forever engulfing—like one alive beyond—
Meeting the saints, wond’ring those near the Throne
as God watches like father to his son—
In Christ this hope so vivid in my heart and soul—burning!

From a Christian Standpoint, God is Like a Father to His Son.

god watches like father son

The marks of real Christianity are assurance of eternal bliss and the experience of divine love, peace, and a sense of protection from evil here on earth. Non-Christian religions preach to strict, unloving, and cruel gods who are unconcerned about truth and sin. Only Bible Christianity teaches that God watches over me as if He were my father.

Those who worship idols also believe in the protection of their wooden or made-of-cement gods. “There you will serve gods,” wrote Moses in Deuteronomy 4:28, “the work of man’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.” In Psalm, we find that those “who make them will become like them, Everyone who trusts in them.” (Psalm 115:8) The worship of these brainless idols will make the worshipers deaf and blind to the truth—dumb. They can never see that the Christian God watches His children and lovingly cares for them.
