Trusting God Sincerely & Taking Refuge in Him

trusting god sincerely

In Psalm 34:8, we find God continually inviting us to His boundless love and grace. “O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Making God your shelter in this life has an added incentive of blessedness. The “Lord is good” if you will just decide to “taste and see” the experience. Sincerely trusting God and taking refuge in Him by faith open the door of Heaven’s blessings. This inwardness we venture to call as faith experience only starts to develop after hearing and meditating upon God’s blessed promises. “For this reason,” wrote the apostle Paul, “we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.” (1 Thess 2:13) Sincerely trusting God, therefore, is only possible if you hear the Word of God and it begins to perform “its work in you who believe.”

Weakening Moral Values, Liberalism, & Gender Perversion

Weakening Moral Values

The weakening of moral values signals society’s compulsory return to the basic Orthodox Christian teachings or there could be no “healing of our land.” President Donald Trump viewed the problems of the Americans as solvable only through draining the swamp (as Social Media describe it) that was reasonably devised by the Liberals and the open border politicians. Trump, whose parents were Presbyterians, talked a lot about his concern for the Jewish people and one reason could perhaps be traced by his “Jewish grasp” (Bible knowledge aside) since Ivanka, his daughter, was married to a Jew (real estate developer Jared Kushner). Anyhow, Trump is a more Bible-quoting president than Obama who was one compelling leader of the Americans’ weakening moral values.

“Anyhow, Trump is a more Bible-quoting president than Obama who was one compelling leader of the Americans’ weakening moral values.”

Happiness in Christ is Better Experienced Than Explained

happiness christ better experienced than explained

Joy or positive emotions that we habitually experience with our inner being defines happiness. Such emotion, therefore, of delight and bliss starts from within us rather than by the stimulus that has caused the sense of satisfaction. You have a joyful experience seeing your grandchild, for example, an emotion that your wife does not share since she disliked her daughter-in-law very much. Caused outwardly at the surface by a particular stimulant, your happiness or unhappiness remains a subjective and personal option. Succinctly, it is you who choose to be happy!

Valentine’s Day Still Relevant Today?

Valentine's Day Still Relevant Today

Valentine’s Day

Today is Valentine’s Day, a feast of Saint Valentine to a few Christian denominations—the day we traditionally send flowers or love notes or a valentine’s card or a text message to our special loved one. The question is: Is it relevant today? Is it meaningful? Is it necessary?

Wikipedia says that “The first recorded association of Valentine’s Day with romantic love is in Parlement of Foules (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer. Chaucer wrote: “For this was on seynt Volantynys day Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make. [‘For this was on Saint Valentine’s Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate.’]”

I like Chaucer’s description of Valentine’s Day: “to choose his mate.” Or, that Valentine’s Day is the special day for lovers or married people or for someone who’s in love (definitely not the kind of love you have for your sick grandfather, neither that so-called love for the same sex—but rather, for the opposite sex!). It is the day you and your sweetheart would want to have more fun together, more celebration to your relationship.

God’s Love is Unaffected by Man’s Behavior—Unconditional?

god's love unaffected by human behavior unconditional by this verse

I attended a church where the preacher told us that God’s love unaffected by man’s behavior could mean the appropriate attribute of our loving Creator. His love for humankind is unconditional, was the loud exhortation; otherwise, He ceases to be God!

People Becoming the Object of Fear, Not Love

People becoming the object of fear, instead of love? I have been traveling these days from one city to another, holding meetings, etc. and found out that all places are the same: they are full of people, from east to west, north to south. There’s a flood of humanity everywhere either looking for food, for pleasure or criminal activities. But why people have become the object of our fear sometimes, not of our love?
